Review of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G: A Chic Combination of Innovation and Compromises

The AMOLED display and vegan leather back of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G combine to create a fashionable look. Add flare with cutting-edge features like Active Halo Lighting and Magnetic Charging. Although the camera has an amazing battery life, it does not include an ultrawide lens. In general, it’s a fantastic option for anybody looking for special features at an affordable cost.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G stands out as a strong competitor in the mid-range smartphone market because it combines special features and reasonable pricing of ₹21,999. The Note 40 Pro 5G stands out thanks to its elegant design, which includes an AMOLED display and a vegan leather back. But does it look as well as it performs?

This gadget has a smooth user experience and flawless multitasking thanks to its MediaTek Dimensity 7020 CPU. But the Note 40 Pro 5G has interesting new features like Active Halo Lighting and MagCharge wireless charging, so it’s not just about the hardware.

However, how does it perform in key aspects such as battery life and camera performance? Come along as we examine the Infinix Note 40 Pro in-depth, highlighting both its advantages and disadvantages to help you decide if it’s the best option for your requirements.

Review of the Build and Design of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G has a high-end appearance and feel. The rear of the phone is composed of “vegan leather,” as Infinix refers to it. It feels classy and deters fingerprints more than glass would.

Vintage Green and Titan Gold are the two colors available for this smartphone.

For evaluation, I received the Vintage Green version. It’s a classy, subdued shade of green that almost seems earthy rather than a garish, confrontational green.

To match the golden rectangle camera module on the back, they painted the frame gold. The rectangular camera module houses three back cameras and a circular LED flash around Active Halo Lighting. This AI-powered Active Halo Lighting is stated to be a segment-first feature. Users can use this programmable multicolored light as a notification light for incoming calls, messages, and other alerts. The camera module itself doesn’t protrude too much; it is slightly lifted from the phone’s back

The display of the Infinix Note 40 Pro is curved, with soft curves at the corners for a more comfortable grip. The Note 40 Pro 5G is water and dust-resistant, with an IP53 rating. Gorilla Glass is designed to shield the display from scuffs and scratches, providing some peace of mind.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G is a chic and well-made phone that has a high-end appearance and feel.

Review of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G: Display

With its 6.78-inch AMOLED display and FHD+ quality, the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G is indeed a visual feast for the eyes, especially when watching media. In addition, the viewing angles were superb regardless of how I held the phone.

Let’s now discuss the seamless scrolling. With its 120Hz refresh rate, this phone allows for exceptionally fluid social media browsing.

According to Infinix, the display can attain a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. Nevertheless, in my testing conducted in direct sunlight with Adaptive Brightness turned on, I only obtained 965 nits. In most cases, it’s still good.

Review of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G: Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, which has six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, powers the Infinix Note 40 Pro smartphone. The device also includes 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The lack of a microSD card port prevents expansion, although 256GB of storage satisfies most users.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G Performance

The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G performed consistently during my daily use. I never experienced the smartphone feeling sluggish or falling behind during my use of it. During the roughly two weeks that I used it, the Note 40 Pro 5G proved to be a dependable companion, whether it was multitasking with many apps or quickly switching between them. It’s important to note, though, that I frequently encountered unintentional touches when playing BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), one of my favorite games. Additionally, I frequently had to press several times to choose an option located on the curved edges of the game due to the phone’s curved display.

Additionally, the phone has an artificial intelligence helper called Folax. In addition to many other things, this helper can help with calling, taking pictures, playing music, setting alarms, and much more.

Although my own experience provides some insight into the smartphone’s functionality, it’s important to take into account objective measurements as well. I’ll talk about the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G benchmarks I ran a few times next.

When compared to comparable smartphones in their price range, the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G’s performance metrics were very lackluster. The Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G performed poorly on AnTuTu tests, scoring less than 50,000, lagging behind other smartphones such as the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G and the Nothing Phone (2a).
